Started by Lenette · 8 months ago

For those of you who have heard or read my story, I’ve experienced some major battles with insomnia in the past.  Once for a couple months back in college, and once for about six months this year (yes—while on a 99% raw food diet).   It’s gotten signi ... Continue reading »

  • how do you know when to change the battery on your zapper?
  • The little green light on the side goes off (stops blinking when you turn the switch on). The battery lasts about two weeks if you leave it on 24/7, in my experience. But I usually don't have it on all the time so it lasts about one month or longer now.
  • thanks, lenette. I've never used mine until the light went out- I ll give it a try next time b/f switching out my battery !
  • I've had a problem on and off with insomnia too, I've always said that I'm just not very good at sleeping. If I'm in a routine then I'll be okay, it just takes about 1/2 hour to get to sleep then I'm fine. Over the past few weeks however I've been traveling through Europe and have had the worst insomnia of my life. I've put it down to stress and the fact that I'm not eating very well because I'm traveling so much.

Interestingly, the first thing my yoga teacher said when I mentioned my sleeping problem was to work on my muladhara ... and I keep being told that. I have a restless body and a restless mind, and I am naturally thin and don't think it's possible to put on weight. Apparently this is all related to muladhara too. So when I stop traveling I'll work hard on my yoga practice with muladhara in mind and see if it makes a big difference.

Thanks for the awesome blog by the way!
  • Thanks so much for sharing that Fran! I'll have to check that out (muladhara). Have fun in Europe!
